Brenda oversees CBI’s marketing and communication efforts, developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance the institute’s visibility, engage audiences, and effectively communicate its mission and initiatives.
She received both her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Communication from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and continues to be involved as an alum. She began her career with the university’s Enrollment Management division, maintaining their web presence and developing their print and digital communications. She later joined the university’s Marketing & Communications department, where she managed the university’s top tier digital communications channels, including its social media accounts and web presence. For a time, Brenda worked in the nonprofit sector, providing overall leadership and implementation of strategic communications and marketing as the Communication Director for United Way of the Coastal Bend. She joined CBI in 2022, and continues to draw inspiration from her passionate colleagues.
