Isidro X. Garza is a committed land surveyor with more than 30 years of industry expertise and proven success managing large-scale commercial infrastructure projects. As a Conrad Blucher Chair for Excellence in Surveying, he lends his professional and educational expertise to CBI to support its mission and help make significant strides in the surveying field.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in GIS with an emphasis in Geomatics from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Isidro is President of Gratia (pronounced Gray-sha) Geomatics LLC, a company he co-founded with his wife, Meredith, that offers commercial land surveying and geospatial solutions.
Isidro is an active member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS), the latter in which he has held several leadership roles. His contributions to the profession have been recognized with multiple awards, including the TSPS Chapter President of the Year, TSPS Presidential Award in 2022, and the TSPS Educator of the Year Award in 2023.
Isidro is deeply committed to advancing education for aspiring surveyors and played a pivotal role in establishing the Geospatial Engineering & Land Surveying program at Klein Collins High School, the first program of its kind in the country to offer an associate degree to high school students in this field of study.
